TO APPLY:

1. Download the Preparation Checklist (pdf) so you can prepare your responses to the application questions before submitting them online.
2. Set up a username for the grant submission Web site and complete your organization information.
3. Check your e-mail and click on the confirmation link.
4. Login to the grant submission Web site.
5. Click the Submit New Application link in the left-hand menu.
6. Your application is complete once you select the "Ready for Review" Status on your application. We will not start reviewing applications until after the grant deadline passes.

Data-Scribe® is issuing an RFP for small, service grants on a rolling basis.

WHAT DOES "ROLLING GRANT" MEAN?

Award cycles occur 4 times per calendar year. The Award Board will review applications and contact potential recipients to obtain more information. Grant recipients will be selected based on eligibility, type of project, and availability of applicant's and Data-Scribe's staff. This will allow more grants to be awarded for projects of varying scope and length.

Grant value: $2500 of in-kind services

The grant application deadlines for the next 12 months are as follows:

• Monday, December 3, 2007
• Monday, March 3, 2008
• Monday, June 2, 2008   (cancelled)
  
• Monday, September 15, 2008

ELIGIBILITY

1. Data-Scribe® will accept proposals from US-based nonprofit organizations and associations. Organizations must have 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) status and should be in good standing.
2. We do not make service grants to organizations expressly intended to support candidates for political office or to influence legislation, or whose mission is not in alignment with management's beliefs.
3. Data-Scribe’s current and past clients are exempt from applying for a Data-Scribe® project.
4. An organization can apply as many times as they would like, however, they can receive only one (1) award per calendar year.

Nonprofits can apply for any of the following:

• New Web Site - a new Web site providing a branded design and functionality. Membership management or e-commerce could be a part of the site. Upon project completion, the organization will be able to maintain the site easily.
  
  
• Web Site Improvement - an improved Web site providing a branded design, enhanced content and functionality, membership management, and/or e-commerce could be added to allow the organization to easily maintain the site upon project completion.
